the ipad rotates the pictures correctly. Windows you will need to rotate your monitors for now.

Well the adventure begins. Jonah brought us to the airport at noon today. We were able to go into the short line since we had already checked in. There were about 6 people ahead of us. The other line had at least 100 people. I don't know why they didn't do early check-in. Maybe they didn't know about the other line. Then we waited around to board. Got on the plane and found out that there are no individual screens, just the ones hanging from the ceiling. Good thing I have other forms of entertainment. Oh yeah, this plane has an upstairs. Would have liked to see that. We have a baby next to us. She has been good so far. Hope it lasts. It's pretty neat though, the plane has a bassinet that hooks into the wall. Dad fell asleep before we even left the ground. He is now watching the next movie. I think I will watch a movie. Or maybe play Angry Birds!

2 hour layover in Frankfurt. Old people sitting on hard airport chairs after no sleep for 20 hours can get grumpy if they are not careful. To avoid this we took a walk through the airport. When we came back we noticed all the people in the seats near us had moved. Fortunately the brain cells were still working well enough for us to eventually realize we had returned from our walk to the wrong gate. Fortunately, when we got to the right gate there were no lines as everyone else had already boarded. Even more fortunate for us, the plane had not yet left.

The Room at Hotel Wien. We won't spend much time here so it is a good size. This place is big enough for afternoon naps after walking all day and resting up for late suppers.. We did not include a picture of the bathroom because it was to small to fit the camera in it.

The entire room taken without a wide angle lens

The long. long, long hallway
This is a long hallway to the room. It is actually longer than it looks

Mom really likes her Almdudler. We ate outdoors across the road. The soup was very good.

Moms favorite Austrian beverage

The ferris wheel
Mom saw the ferris wheel from her seat while eating supper

The hotel is on the main road and is very narrow. Did I mention the hallway to the room is very very long?

After eating we went for a walk through the Old town after dark

.

Stephenplatz Cathedral
By the time we made it downtown it was dark. A lot of narrow roads and a lot of people out at night. The Stephenzplatz courtyard was full of people and smelled bad. They have horse drawn carriage rides. The horses wait near the cathedral. The horses are not toilet trained. There were men dressed up in 18th century costumes selling tickets to Motzart symphonies. we will go to a symphony but perhaps not that one.

.
We walked through the old town, saw a lot of people, outdoor cafeterias, and ice cream shops. We ended up at the opera house
.
An opera was going on. They were projecting it live on a large screen outside the building. There were 100 people in chairs outside complete with ushers. We did not stay to long as it was in German. And it was Opera. And 2 old people that had not slept for 30 hours were tired. It was time to head back to the room and rest up for tomorrow. Unfortunately it was about 2 miles back to the hotel.

There were lots of shops on the main road.

Cupcakes
This is for Erika. There is more frosting than cupcake. Looks like these guys put the frosting on the cupcake instead of eating it straight.

This TV was on top of a very large building. I am not sure who exactly watches it.

Hotel Wien
A very welcome sight after a long walk. We still have that long, long hallway ahead of us.
