Woke up later today. Finally getting used to the time change. Breakfast was just as good. There are several ladies working to keep replacing the food as it disappears. These are not high school kids working a part time job. These are ladies that take their jobs seriously. We take our job of consuming the food just as seriously.

. Went for a walk in the park today. It is a big park and has an amusement park inside it.

The Ferris Wheel
They were setting up for Octoberfest I think. Several tents were being set up with lots of long tables with seating. This large ferris wheel has box car sized rooms that go around the wheel. The amusement park was just starting up as we walked through at 10 in the morning.

This was a large park. There were lots of paths and trails. We walked through woods, along lakes, and saw sports fields. We even saw a deer through the trees in the woods. It is a big park. There was a horse stable in the back and a golf course along one side.

Danube River
The back of the park was next to the Danube River. We walked along the river for aways then came back into the park for the walk back to the ferris wheel.

Diane tried taking a picture using her sunglasses as a filter. These are chestnut trees. Diane pays big bucks for these when they are roasted by street vendors. Lots of people are picking chestnuts up off the ground. Probably to sell to street vendors since Diane is in town.

Wild Ride
This one of the rides. The chair on the tail spins the seats upside down while the snake rotates around the short spinning leg in the middle. Chances of us taking this ride? Not likely

We heard about a very good restaurant called Meierei. It is located across the canal from the park. It was okay. We arrrived just when a lady stood up to leave and we took her table. The sun was beating down on us and it was very hot. Once the sun went down below the trees in the park across the canal it was very pleasant. The waiter didn't show up at our table until the sun dipped below the trees. I guess he did not like the heat either. The food we ordered was presented in a fancy manner. Dianes soup had fancy pasta noodles shaped like 2 flowers and real flower petals scattered in a bowl. Waiter number two held a tray with a pitcher of the mushroom soup broth. Waiter number one then poured most of the contents of the pitcher into Dianes bowl. She said it was good but not as good as the mushroom soup she had at Lake Louise. Perhaps because in Canada she got mulitple servings and the waiter gave her all the soup he brought fom the kitchen. During the meal there was a beggar in the park across the canal playing classical music on his accordian. It was actually good. The canal looked better when the sun was shining. I hope my fish was from the river not from the canal.
